Ffion

In the midst of death, art requires a distinct and mystical courage. An audacity that says not only do I have a right to exist, but I believe my existence will add to the fabric of the universe. I will make.
Long Bio
Originally trained movement artist, Ffion’s practice has evolved from proprioceptive, somatic enquiry and research into the body’s wisdom and its transferable knowledge into performance art, using voice, breath, live painting with the body, exploring pressure, weight transference and dynamic kinaesthetic movement to leave marks, maps, patterns through movement with a focus on sensory communication between the art making process, audiences and the internal mind/body connection.

Ffion also works with film and small scale ink illustrations, exploring relationships and interconnections between nature, biology and people.
